International GovernmentNarrow moat

Palantir Technologies (PLTR) — moat facet

Allied governments have become Palantir's fastest-growing buyers abroad, up about 47% in 2025, led by Britain's health service.

International government is Palantir's fastest-growing line outside the United States. It was about $547.3 million in 2025, up about 47%1, about 12% of revenue2, and about $181 million in the second quarter of 2026, up 42%3.

Growth doubled in 2025.

Inside it are allied governments and their agencies. The largest disclosed relationship is with the British state: NHS England's Federated Data Platform contract, reported as "Palantir lands £330 million NHS" contract4, and total revenue from the United Kingdom, government and commercial, of $427.4 million in 20255. Palantir does not publish this line; it is the government segment's revenue less US government revenue6.

The history is of steady growth that accelerated recently. The line was about $219.2 million in 2021, $245.5 million in 2022, $301.0 million in 2023 and $371.7 million in 20247: growth of about 12%, 23% and 23.5% before 2025's 47%8.

It is paid under government contracts with the same features as American ones: long relationships, sensitive data, budgets set by parliaments and the possibility of termination for convenience9.

Profitability is reported for the government segment as a whole, whose contribution margin was 66% in 202510 and 71% in the second quarter of 202611.

The outlook rests on what Alex Karp calls sovereignty: "Demand for AI sovereignty has now been unleashed."12 The same political choice that makes a government buy can make its successor stop, and Palantir's own screen of customers on values13 limits which governments it will serve.

The quarterly figures show the pace holding. International government revenue was about $171.4 million in the first quarter of 2026 and $181.0 million in the second14, against $127.0 million in the second quarter of 202515. Allied governments are not buying in one burst; each quarter has been larger than the last.

This line is narrow and widening, and more political than any other. The verdict would change if growth fell back to about 20% in 2027, the rate of 2023 and 2024, because that would show 2025 and 2026 as a surge rather than a new level.
