Privacy Policy

The short version: there are no accounts, nothing is sold, and the only information you can give this site on purpose is whatever you type into the feedback box.

Who is responsible

The controller of any personal data described here is Lean House sp. z o.o., the publisher of Moat Explorer. Reach us about any of it through the Feedback button on every page.

What is collected, and why

Analytics. The site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages people read. It records pages viewed, roughly where in the world the request came from, and the kind of device and browser, and it sets the cookies listed in the Cookie Policy. We use it to see what is worth writing more of. Google acts as our processor for this.

Feedback. If you send feedback, we store what you wrote, the email address if you chose to give one, the page you were on, and the user-agent string your browser sends with every request anyway. The address is optional and exists only so that a question can be answered; leaving it blank does not change anything else. A copy of each submission is emailed to us so it is actually read.

Nothing else. There are no accounts, no logins, no payments, no newsletter and no advertising. Access logging is switched off on the CDN and on both storage buckets, so no server-side log of your visit is kept. Nothing is sold or shared with anyone for their own purposes, there is no advertising network on the site, and no decision about you is made automatically.

Where it is kept

The site and the feedback are hosted on Amazon Web Services, and the storage is in the US East (Northern Virginia) region. That means feedback you send is stored in the United States, outside the European Economic Area, and Google processes the analytics data on our behalf, on infrastructure it operates in several countries. If that matters to you, the practical answer is not to put anything into the feedback box you would not want stored there.

On what legal basis

For analytics, our legitimate interest in knowing whether anyone reads this and which parts. For feedback, your own decision to send it, and our legitimate interest in answering. You can object to either, and the Cookie Policy explains how to stop the analytics from your side today.

How long it is kept

Feedback is kept until it has been dealt with and is then deleted; it is not archived indefinitely, and an email address is of no use to us once a question has been answered. Analytics data is retained for the period configured in Google Analytics and is aggregated rather than tied to a person.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Ask through the Feedback button. If we do not deal with it properly, you can complain to the Polish supervisory authority, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych), or to the authority where you live.

Changes

If what the site does changes, this page changes with it. Last updated 30 September 2026.
