No Customer Above Ten Percent of RevenueWide moat

Oracle (ORCL) — moat facet

Oracle's revenue is spread so widely that no customer reaches a tenth of it, which is what four decades of database customers look like.

Oracle's revenue is as diversified as any large company's. Its annual report states that no single customer accounted for 10% or more of total revenues in any of fiscal 2026, 2025 or 20241. Revenue was $67,357 million in fiscal 20262, so no customer paid as much as about $6.7 billion.

The mix tilts toward the Americas.

The breadth comes from history. Oracle's operations began in June 19773, and the support base of $19,804 million in fiscal 20264 is spread across banks, governments, retailers, manufacturers and telecommunications companies in every region. Revenue in the Americas was $44,478 million, EMEA $15,297 million and Asia Pacific $7,582 million5.

This is the conventional strength of an old software franchise. The loss of any one customer is a rounding error; the risk is a slow drift of many, which the support line would show.

The picture is already changing in the latest quarter. The Americas were $13,711 million of $19,345 million of revenue in the first quarter of fiscal 20276, about 71%7, up from about 66% for fiscal 20268, because the large AI contracts are mostly American.

The seasonality of the business reflects that broad base. Oracle's revenues and operating margins are typically highest in its fourth fiscal quarter and lowest in its first9, a pattern driven by sales incentives and customers' budget cycles. A company dependent on a few AI customers would show a different pattern: revenue that steps up as each contract begins.

Diversification by revenue is the strongest part of Oracle's customer base today and the part most likely to change. The figure that tells you it has changed is simple: the first annual report in which Oracle has to disclose a customer above 10% of revenue.
