Fifty-Six Percent AmericanNarrow moat

Dell Technologies (DELL) — moat facet

Dell's American share of revenue rose from half to 56% in two years, as the AI boom concentrated its customers at home.

Dell's customers are becoming more American. The United States provided $43,986 million of revenue in fiscal 2024, $51,014 million in fiscal 2025 and $63,140 million in fiscal 20261. As a share of revenue that is about 50%, 53% and 56%2. Revenue from foreign countries was $44,439 million, $44,553 million and $50,398 million3.

Six points more American in two years.

The shift follows the AI business. Dell says ISG revenue in fiscal 2026 increased in the Americas, driven by its AI-optimized servers, and to a lesser extent elsewhere4. American growth in fiscal 2026 was about 24%, against about 13% abroad5.

Foreign revenue remains well spread. No foreign country accounted for 10% of revenue in fiscal 20266, which reflects the reach of Dell's partner network.

A more American customer base concentrates policy risk. Tariffs on imported components and systems, export rules on advanced chips and American interest rates now touch a larger share of Dell's revenue.

Only two years earlier the balance was even. In fiscal 2024 foreign revenue of $44,439 million was slightly larger than American revenue of $43,986 million7. The shift since is almost entirely the AI build-out in the United States.

The American share, about 56% in fiscal 20268, tracks this concentration. A rise above 60% would mean Dell's growth is tied ever more closely to the spending of a handful of American AI buyers.
