⚠ The Adoption Curve Is FlatteningModerate threat
CrowdStrike (CRWD) — threat to the moat
CrowdStrike's cross-sell is still rising, but the six-module share gained only three points in the latest year.
The best evidence for CrowdStrike's platform is slowing. The share of subscription customers with six or more modules rose nineteen points in the three years to January 2024, from 24% to 43%12, but only three points in the year to July 2026, from 48% to 51%34.
The deeper levels are moving slowly too. Seven or more went from 33% to 35% over the same year, and eight or more from 23% to 26%56.
Some flattening is natural. Each additional point is harder to win because the customers left are those who have resisted so far. But the platform thesis assumes there is a long way still to go, and the company's goal of $20 billion of ending ARR by fiscal 20367 relies heavily on selling more to existing customers.
The seven-module tier shows the same shape over a longer stretch. It was 22% at January 20238 and 35% at July 20269, thirteen points in three and a half years, of which only two came in the latest year.
The falsifier is plain. If the six-or-more share is still at 51% or below in July 2027, the cross-sell engine has stalled at about half the base.
