The Revenue LinesNarrow moat
Netflix (NFLX) — moat facet
Netflix sells one service priced four ways, and the region that pays most is now the one growing slowest.
Netflix sells one product and reports one operating segment1; the only split it gives is streaming revenue by region. In 2025 the United States and Canada produced $19,957 million, Europe, the Middle East and Africa $14,514.6 million, Latin America $5,357.5 million and Asia-Pacific $5,354 million2, together the full $45,183 million of revenue3.
The chart in this app shows the four regions for 2022 to 2025. For 2025 and 2024 they reconcile exactly to revenue; in 2022 and 2023 total revenue also included the DVD business, $82.8 million in 20234, which ended that year5. Regional revenue includes hedging gains and losses.
The regions move differently. In 2025 UCAN grew 15%, EMEA 17%, LATAM 11% and APAC 21%6. In the second quarter of 2026 the order reversed: LATAM grew 21% and UCAN only 10%7.
Netflix discloses no profit by region. The shows are bought once and shown everywhere, so the higher-priced regions almost certainly earn more per member, but the company does not say.
Currency moves the lines as much as members do. Currencies other than the dollar were 56% of revenue in 20258, and in the first half of 2026 exchange rates reduced revenue by about $535 million against the prior year's rates9. Netflix reports each region's growth at constant currency alongside the reported figure, and the gap is widest in Latin America: 11% reported against 23% at constant currency in 202510. The chart shows dollars, so it understates the growth in local prices wherever the dollar strengthened.
The lines describe one service priced four ways. The figure to follow is UCAN's share of revenue, 44.2% in 202511; if it rises while the other regions slow, Netflix is becoming more dependent on the market where its price rises are now being tested.
All four regions growing; UCAN slowest in Q2 2026.
Dependence on the home market; a rising share with other regions slowing would concentrate the price test.
