The Entities Outside EuropeThin moat

XTB (XTB) — moat facet

Belize, the Emirates, Chile and Indonesia are where the 30:1 leverage cap does not reach.

Not all of XTB is inside the European rulebook, and the parts that are not carry a disproportionate share of the interesting revenue. XTB International Limited is registered in Belize and acquires clients from Latin America and the rest of the world outside Europe.1 XTB MENA Limited and XTB Financial Services LLC operate from the United Arab Emirates. PT XTB Indonesia Berjangka is 90 per cent owned.2 XTB Agente de Valores SpA in Chile obtained a securities agent licence in the first half of 2026.3

Operating income by region, 2025, PLN mPoland1 168Rest of CEE280Western Europe387Middle East182Latin America128Asia0,004Middle East and Latin America together are 14,5 per cent of the group
The parts outside the European leverage cap are a seventh of the business.

The commercial logic is straightforward. The 2018 European product intervention capped retail leverage at 30:1 and applies wherever a client is served under a European licence.4 It does not apply in Belize.5 A firm that can offer the same instruments on materially different terms outside Europe has a second business, with better unit economics, aimed at customers no European supervisor is protecting.

The scale is real but not dominant. The Middle East produced 182 million złoty of operating income in 2025 and Latin America 128 million, together 14,5 per cent of the group, and the Middle East grew to 100 million in the first half of 2026 while Latin America fell to 60 million from 99 million.6

What this buys is optionality on regulation: if Europe tightens again, some of the business can be served from somewhere that has not.

Combined Middle East and Latin American revenue has sat between 12 and 16 per cent of the group for three years.7 It has not yet broken out of that band, and until it does the offshore arm is an option rather than a business.

Moat trajectory: Narrowing

Latin America produced 60 million złoty in the first half of 2026 against 99 million a year earlier, a fall of 39 per cent, in the region the Belize subsidiary exists to serve. The Turkish entity is in liquidation and the Cypriot one was wound up in September 2025. Only the Middle East is growing.

The number that tests this moat
Reported
Middle East and Latin American revenue combined
14,5% of 2025 revenue, and 12-16% for three years

XTB International in Belize, XTB MENA and XTB Financial Services in the Emirates, PT XTB Indonesia and XTB Agente de Valores in Chile serve clients outside the European leverage cap. The Middle East produced 182 million złoty in 2025 and Latin America 128 million, together 14,5 per cent of the group. The band has been 12 to 16 per cent for three years, so the offshore option has not yet become a business.
