More than 800 surgeons in Synektik's territory have been certified on the da Vinci, and each one is a reason the next tender names it.

The da Vinci's hardest barrier to replace is not the robot but the people trained on it. At September 2025 the Synektik group counted more than 800 certified da Vinci operators in its territory1. Their training is part of every sale: the Tallinn contract includes training hospital staff2, and the first Baltic procedures in Riga in May 2026 were performed with surgeons from the hospital in Rzeszów3.

A surgeon who has spent months on the da Vinci console and built a programme on it is a strong argument for the next da Vinci in the next tender. That is why the installed base grows even when rivals offer cheaper financing: 142 systems under Synektik's care at June 2026, 100 of them in Poland4.

The region still has few robots per person. There is one da Vinci for every 505 000 people in Poland and 408 000 in Czechia and Slovakia, against 358 000 in Europe and 54 600 in the United States5, by the company's count.

Training is also Synektik's way into new territory. The first da Vinci procedures in the Baltic states, in Riga in May 2026, were an educational initiative to develop the regional market, with surgeons from Rzeszów6. A hospital whose surgeons first operated with a Polish team has a reason to keep buying from the same distributor.

The population per robot shows how far the market has to go, and so how many more surgeons will be trained on this system.
