Synektik sells ten-year service commitments under a supply agreement with five years left.

Synektik sells hospitals commitments that outlast its own. The Tallinn contract signed in September 2026 covers the robot, nine years of maintenance and a framework for ten years of consumables, worth EUR 9,4 million in all1. The distribution agreement that lets Synektik perform it runs to 31 December 20312.

The hospital contract is longer than the distribution contract.

Deferred income, which includes prepaid warranties and service contracts, rose 19% to 59 million złoty in the year to September 20253, and the stream of service and instruments that follows each robot is what Synektik counts as recurring revenue, 374,7 million złoty in the twelve months to June 20264. The longer the robots last, the larger the share of that stream that falls after 2031.

If Intuitive renewed again, none of this would matter. If it did not, the service obligations would pass to whoever holds the territory, and Synektik's recurring revenue would stop at the border of the contract rather than at the end of the robot's life.

The same asymmetry runs through the Polish contracts. Several da Vinci sales in the year to September 2025 came with consumables supply for two or three years, and some Czech contracts with post-warranty service5. Each one assumes Synektik will still be the authorised source when the service is due.

The warning sign would be the next annex arriving late, or not at all, as 2029 approaches.
