A Catalogue Beyond One RobotThin moat

Synektik (SNT) — moat facet

Synektik sells for a dozen manufacturers, and the second-largest supplies 6,8% of what the equipment segment buys.

Synektik is more than a da Vinci distributor, though not by as much as its catalogue suggests. It sells therapy devices from Carl Zeiss, Eckert & Ziegler, HistoSonics, Hologic, Insightec, ZAP Surgical and Medical Microinstruments, imaging from Philips, contrast injectors, and pharmacy automation from Becton Dickinson Rowa and Loccioni1. In the April-June 2026 quarter alone it installed two APOTECAchemo and two BD Rowa pharmacy systems, two angiographs and a Symani microsurgery system2. Hologic's mammography and biopsy products came under a three-year agreement from October 20243.

A long tail behind one supplier.

The purchases show the proportions. Intuitive was 80,2% of the equipment segment's purchases in the year to September 2025; the second-largest supplier was 6,8%4. Everything beyond the robot is a long tail of smaller products.

The catalogue matters for tenders. A hospital running a radiology or oncology tender can buy several things from one supplier, and each product keeps Synektik's sales force in the hospital.

The catalogue earns its keep in the tender list. In the year to September 2025 Synektik also announced material contracts for angiographs at hospitals in Przemyśl and Łomża and, in a consortium with Becton Dickinson, for pharmacy robots including BD Rowa Vmax and APOTECAchemo at the district hospital in Radomsko5. In January 2026 it added HistoSonics' Edison on an exclusive three-year agreement with an option for two more6.

A rising share for the second supplier would show the catalogue carrying more weight.
