The Marketplaces Do the Selling NowThin moat

Text (TXT) — moat facet

Three of the largest software shopfronts in the world in seven months - and not one disclosed customer from any of them.

Within seven months Text placed its products inside three of the largest software distribution channels in existence.

The right response to buyers moving from search to assistants - with no disclosed revenue yet.

In February 2026 Text App, LiveChat, ChatBot and HelpDesk were introduced to the Microsoft marketplace1. In July, Text was made available on Google Cloud Marketplace as "Text - Enterprise AI Agent"2. In August, it became an official application in the ChatGPT marketplace3. Alongside those came Meta Business Partner status in January 20264, a partnership with Golden Whale for the iGaming industry in April5, and the Klaviyo integration in July6.

The strategic reading is straightforward and rather good. If the search results that used to deliver Text's customers are being replaced by assistants7, then being listed inside the assistant is the correct response, and Text got there early. Marketplace listings also solve enterprise procurement, since a buyer can purchase through an existing vendor relationship — which is what the SOC 2 Type 2 attestation was obtained to support8.

The commercial reading is more cautious. A listing is placement, not demand. Text has published no figure for revenue or customers originating from any marketplace, and none of the three channels belongs to it; Text's own risk factors name partner policy changes as something that could significantly reduce customer growth9.

Proof would be new recurring revenue attributed to marketplace origination, and Text does not disclose it. Three listings in seven months remains a promising input with no output attached.

Moat trajectory: Widening

Three placements in seven months - Microsoft in February 2026, Google Cloud in July, ChatGPT in August - plus Meta Business Partner status. The channel is being built quickly; no revenue has yet been attributed to it.

If buyers increasingly ask an assistant rather than a search engine, being inside the assistant is the correct response, and Text got there early. Listings also solve enterprise procurement, which is what the SOC 2 Type 2 attestation supports. What is missing is any output: Text publishes no revenue or customer count by acquisition source, so three listings remain a promising input. New recurring revenue attributed to marketplace origination would settle it.
