The best operating metrics in two years, and the reason they were good is the reason to be careful about them.
📈 TXT valuation, revenue & earnings — P/E, P/S, revenue, EPS →The quarter to 30 June 2026 was the best set of operating metrics Text has reported in two years, and the reason it was good is the reason to be careful about it.
The headline numbers: revenue of 83,20 million złoty, down 1,9% year on year but up 4,1% on the previous quarter; net profit of 29,11 million złoty, down 6,2% year on year and up 2,0% sequentially; operating profit of 31,36 million, down 11,0%; EBITDA of 38,56 million, down 7,4%1. In dollars, where the business actually operates, revenue was 22,61 million — up 2,1% year on year2.
The operating metric was the one that moved. Monthly recurring revenue reached 7,46 million dollars at 30 June, up 4,0% year on year and 7,6% against the end of the previous quarter, giving annualised recurring revenue of 89,52 million against the company's 100 million target3.
Then the explanation. The chief executive attributed the growth mainly to the completion of price grandfathering for LiveChat customers4 — customers on old price lists being moved onto the prices set in September 2025. Monthly payers were transferred during the quarter; annual payers move as their subscriptions expire5. This was a price increase, not an acquisition quarter, and the customer response to it has been deferred by the same billing structure that produced the gain.
Two other things in the quarter were genuinely good. A high share of annual payments produced a record 77,2 million złoty of deferred revenue and net operating cash flow up 22,2% to 41,5 million6 — customers committing further ahead, in cash. And cost control held: margins were 69,6% gross, 37,7% operating and 46,4% EBITDA7, with the operating margin roughly flat on the preceding quarter after a year of decline.
The strategic news arrived around the numbers rather than in them. SOC 2 Type 2 attestation in May, the new visual identity and the Go-To-Market launch in May, the livechat.ai domain purchased in June, a seventh United States patent granted in June, the Klaviyo integration in July, Google Cloud Marketplace in July, a MarTech Breakthrough award in August and an official listing in the ChatGPT marketplace in August8.
The dividend was settled on 6 August: 109,7 million złoty from the 2025/26 profit, 4,26 złoty a share including two interim payments9 — down from 6,06 the previous year10.
What to watch next quarter is the same number as last quarter, with the price effect removed. Text reports recurring revenue and payments received within weeks of each quarter end11.
