As competitors match benefit for benefit, the uniqueness that made Prime irreplaceable thins toward parity.

The danger is not that any one rival's bundle beats Prime, but that 'good enough' alternatives multiply until Prime is no longer the obvious, only choice. A member who can get comparable delivery and perks from a retailer they already use has one less reason to pay Amazon, and the switching-cost logic that keeps them loyal weakens as the alternatives improve.

Against it stands the sheer breadth and depth of Amazon's bundle, which rivals can approach in pieces but not match in full: no competitor offers Amazon's selection, its delivery speed, its video, music, grocery, and the rest all at once, backed by the largest fulfillment network on earth. Matching one perk is easy; matching the whole is the work of decades.

Score it moderate. The perks arms race genuinely erodes Prime's once-unique standing and forces Amazon to keep enriching the bundle to stay ahead — but the gap between Prime and the nearest rival remains wide, and copying a single benefit is a long way from reproducing the whole apparatus behind it.
