That is a moat no rival can rent — a regulator's signature cannot be bought off a shelf the way a chip or a model can — and unlike the other bets, this one thickens the core business directly: a device your doctor asks about is not a device you switch away from. Watch the clearance cadence — blood-pressure trends and the long-rumored health-coaching subscription are the obvious next moves — and watch for the day an insurer or health system subsidizes the hardware. That is the moment the Watch stops being a gadget and becomes reimbursable infrastructure, at which point this quiet bet will have out-earned the loud ones.
